Multi-Phase MHz switching power electronics EVALUATION board

MHz switching with gallium nitride (GaN) devices increases the power density of power converters desirable for space and aerospace applications. For these applications, isolated sensing is often required for more efficient and immune signal processing and control of the unit. Tell-i ultrafast isolated current sensors with little propagation delay (~15 nanoseconds) are ideal for very high frequency power supplies for space and aerospace applications. To better serve our current and future clients, we have developed a two-phase GaN multi-MHz switching converter evaluation platform. Both on-board and off-board sensors are considered for seamless evaluation of Tell-i sensors. The developed platform can support standard 120V bus voltage and lower. Through the (efficient) multi-phase configuration, an interleaved operation is feasible that supports effective switching at 3MHz, 5MHz, and 6.87MHz.
